The Grantville Gazette
The Grantville Gazette is an online magazine of both fiction and non-fiction set in the 1632 Universe, plus more general science fiction and fantasy stories. Stories range from a few hundred words to as much as 15,000. Topics cover a surprisingly large area, and stories span the globe and beyond (in the general sci fi and fantasy areas, not in 1632).
I have two stories, so far, in the Gazette. In Issue 95 we have the start of Krystal’s story. The cover art shows her sitting on the front porch with a soda when the Ring of Fire happens. When I found out my very first story inspired the cover, I was beyond excited! Issue 96 continues the story. Mrs. Flannery’s Flowers contains both these stories plus a whole lote more.)
I currently have one story in progress for the Gazette. It’s about clotheslines and clothespins. I’ll leave it at that for now. Hopefully the editors like it enough to buy it!
I have one more short story in progress. It’s a Christmas one that I’m hoping will be picked up and included in the Christmas anthology Ring of Fire Press is creating.
Grantville Gazette Reviews: Pretty dang good, very much the type of story that pulled me into the Baen Bar and Grantville Gazette. – Sam Lightsy
I really look forward to stories that take place shortly after the Ring of Fire, and this one was especially good, filling in the backstory of Mrs. Flannery, and showing the impact of grief on a particular young adult. – Charles K. Alexander II
